This month had me bouncing between the drawing table and a local pop-up market, testing new materials and connecting with art lovers in person. It’s been full—in the best way.
I also want to start this month’s recap with a big thanks to everyone who voted in the Jerry’s Artarama Self-Portrait Contest! Although I wasn't selected as a finalists, I’m proud I took the chance to share my enter publicly and leaned on the support of my amazing community.
🐐 Collector Favorite: Idyllic Goat Print Finds a Home
I had the joy of participating in the Juneteenth Pop-Up at Anthropologie Watters Creek. These local events are some of my favorites because I get to meet art lovers face-to-face and hear what draws them to my work.
One shopper instantly connected with my Idyllic Goat art print and chose the 5x7” matted version to take home. Moments like this are what make local events so special.
(All of my fine art prints are available in 5x7”, 8x10”, and 11x14”—with optional matting or framing.)
While there, I noticed how well my prints pair with curated coffee table books. One standout combo? My art styled alongside Colorful by Iris Apfel—a fun and bold match that truly lit up the area. I snapped this photo to share the inspiration!

🖌️ First Time with Oil Paint
One of the three paintings I created during a recent oil painting workshop with Artist Robin Cheers.
I finally stepped away from my pencils (just briefly!) and took a 3-day oil painting workshop. It was a brand-new medium for me—challenging but exciting.
Letting go of precision and getting messy with paint pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I came away with three solid starts that I can’t wait to layer and refine.

🌸 Back to the Drawing Table
Examining my work in progress
Don't worry—my colored pencils are still my go-to. Right now, I’m working on a Lily of the Valley piece, and someone on Instagram described them as “humble little flowers with their heads bowed.” I loved that.
Oh, and the biggest studio upgrade? I finally found the perfect-height chair for my drawing table. It’s the little things. 😉
