My studio is where everything happens, from drawing to gathering inspiration. But I also have another area where I prep prints and greeting cards, frame artwork, and package orders. So I thought I’d invite you inside for a two-part peek at where all the creativity unfolds starting with my studio space.
The Drawing Table
This is where the heart of my work begins and was a creative project in itself. After searching for the perfect table for a few months, I finally combined all the features I liked and asked my husband to make it for me which he eventually accepted after a bit of persistence lol and I got a rolling cart with the scrap material. Wins all around!
It’s the place where I create my original colored pencil drawings surrounded by natural light, trays of pencils, and my phone where I keep my reference photos. My table is on wheels so I will push it the place where the natural light hits the best and at night I roll it right under my ceiling lighting.

Gallery Wall
And behind my table you will find my gallery wall which was also made with a few items from the local hardware. Every time, I walk into my studio I am instantly inspired. Such a wonderful feeling.
The Inspiration & Storage Zone
Every artist needs items that sparks new ideas. For me, that’s an Ikea shelf filled with travel keepsakes, sketchbooks, and art books along with bins of paper, prints, and stationery stock. It’s organized, but with just enough creative chaos to feel alive.

A roundup of souvenirs I have picked up during my travels.
Computer Desk Area
And last but certainly not least—my desk. I honestly spend more hours here than you’d think an artist would!
This is where I run the business side of art:
* updating my website
* posting to Facebook or Instagram
* answering emails
* editing product photos
* and all the behind-the-scenes tasks that make this studio run
Last year I created a vision board on corkboard right above my desk. I love glancing at it throughout the day especially when my eyes need a break. It’s a little moment to do some future casting and think about what’s possible if I keep going, keep learning, and continue nurturing this creative life.
